Negative Side Effects Of Masturbation

today while waiting for my turn to spill my blood for others (blood donation), i pick up a magazine (im too excited reading, forgot what the name of that mag) and came a cross with this article..
WoOoO~ man! this is really. . . . . . . . . .(speechless) . . . . . . . . .

damn!

My penis is mad at me. How could I write an article on the negative side effects of masturbation? He thinks I’m a traitor and switched teams. I hope he doesn’t take it out on me and be a passive-aggressive limp noodle for my next sexcapade. But how much do we really know about masturbation and its side effects? Sure, we know masturbation feels good -- that’s a gimme. But what else can it do to us? Playing with ourselves can help us fall asleep, reduces headaches and stress, anxiety and tension, it’s great for immune functioning, increasing endorphin production, and is so good for our prostates. But is there anything else we should be looking out for besides Kim Kardashian’s next Carl’s Jr. commercial?

The negative side effects of masturbation your parents believed

There’s a lot of history behind the negative side effects of masturbation. Since man could grab his pecker and stroke it, people have been coming up with myths that it’s bad for you. Will masturbating cause acne? If it did, 95% of guys would be walking around with a face full of zits. Masturbation must cause sterility right? While it’s true having consecutive ejaculations will reduce your sperm count and the volume of semen compared to the first ejaculation, your testes are a factory for sperm production and masturbation isn’t going to close this factory down. Does masturbation cause hairy palms? I don’t even understand this one; is semen miracle grow? The same can be said for blindness, insanity and a whole host of other myths that have been proved false by medical science.

So there has to be some negatives right? Masturbation itself is harmless and there are no proved long-term physical issues with moderate masturbation habits. However, we can all experience some side effects, whether they are short-term, long-term or related to chronic masturbation habits.

Touching breeds unwanted familiarity

One side effect of masturbation is subsequent ejaculations will take longer. If you masturbate a few times before a date and, hopefully, proceed to have sex, you’ll probably find more difficulty reaching climax. Thankfully, giving our penis a day or two to recharge should do the trick. In addition, we each know the secrets to getting ourselves off. Masturbating can sometimes create an individual orgasm effect where we train our bodies to respond to our own familiar touch and have a reduced response to other people’s touch, resulting in a tougher time reaching climax with others. A lot of guys can relate to this.

Dr. Chavez talks more about the negative side effects of masturbation with his unique perspective
Our hard-ons may also be affected by masturbation as well. After each ejaculation, you’ll notice the firmness of the next erection may get slightly softer and spongier, depending on how close apart the erections are. There’s little evidence that too many erections or masturbation will have an effect on your erection in the future. There’s a wealth of evidence that points to age, diet, smoking, and cardiovascular health as factors that affect your beat-meat getting stiff. Another side effect of masturbation is abrasions or swelling of the penis. Some people have rough hands, calluses, use vigorous strokes, or don’t use lube. Ouch!

Masturbation and guilt

Masturbation can also have a negative psychological impact on a person. Many people feel shame and guilt because of their masturbation habits. Whether it’s a cultural, religious or moral issue, people can be very hard on themselves. The tug of war between what feels natural and pleasurable versus what they were told to refrain from can have lasting harmful effects on a person’s self-esteem, confidence and self-love. Psychosomatic effects can also occur, where physical symptoms are the result of psychological factors (feeling shame, guilt, anxiety can manifest into things like headaches, back pain, chronic pain, etc).

The problems with chronic masturbation

Biologically, chronic masturbating can affect our brain and body chemistry because it can overproduce sex hormones and neurotransmitters. This overproduction impacts each person differently, and can range from fatigue, pelvic pain, vision changes, lower back pain, testicular pain, or hair loss. There is current research that states increased testosterone production is linked to DHT production, which is associated with male pattern hair loss.

However, we have to be careful of the conclusions we extrapolate from research. I still need more evidence to believe hair loss because correlation doesn’t imply causation. Did you know large consumptions of alcohol reduce testosterone production? So does this imply that drinking booze will reduce my testosterone levels, subsequently DHT levels, and stop my hair from falling out? Doubtful -- I’d just be bald and drunk. If you notice any of these effects, try cutting back on your masturbation habits for a few months and see if it helps alleviate your symptoms. If the symptoms are still there, you might as well keep tugging away and see a doctor for a medical checkup.

Compulsive masturbation can also negatively affect a person. What’s compulsive masturbating? There’s no set number of times; it’s associated with a person having difficulties in his life resulting from his masturbation habits. One guy masturbates six times a day and feels productive and great while the other feels the exact opposite. Compulsive masturbation can negatively affect your work, relationships, self-esteem, finances, social support, and have legal problems if you’re not able to find a balance between being responsible in life and satisfying your pleasures and desires.

where do you get off?

I hope I didn’t turn you off from masturbating. It’s a wonderful thing and one of the greatest gifts you can offer yourself. There are positives and negatives to everything in life: sex, singlehood, driving a car, being in a relationship, and working. We have to make sure the good outweighs the bad to find happiness. World Orgasm day is December 21st, you better get practicing.

Beer Is a Rich Source of Silicon and May Help Prevent Osteoporosis

Today while munching chipmore that i bought for rm4.50(naik harga OoOoO!), i come a cross with an article in science mag. quite interesting, for those are into it, to cut it short, lets look what the article would like to say..

ScienceDaily (Feb. 9, 2010)
— A new study suggests that beer is a significant source of dietary silicon, a key ingredient for increasing bone mineral density. Researchers from the Department of Food Science & Technology at the University of California, Davis studied commercial beer production to determine the relationship between beer production methods and the resulting silicon content, concluding that beer is a rich source of dietary silicon.

Details of this study are available in the February issue of the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the Society of Chemical Industry.

"The factors in brewing that influence silicon levels in beer have not been extensively studied" said Charles Bamforth, lead author of the study. "We have examined a wide range of beer styles for their silicon content and have also studied the impact of raw materials and the brewing process on the quantities of silicon that enter wort and beer."

Silicon is present in beer in the soluble form of orthosilicic acid (OSA), which yields 50% bioavailability, making beer a major contributor to silicon intake in the Western diet. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), dietary silicon (Si), as soluble OSA, may be important for the growth and development of bone and connective tissue, and beer appears to be a major contributor to Si intake. Based on these findings, some studies suggest moderate beer consumption may help fight osteoporosis, a disease of the skeletal system characterized by low bone mass and deterioration of bone tissue.

The researchers examined a variety of raw material samples and found little change in the silicon content of barley during the malting process. The majority of the silicon in barley is in the husk, which is not affected greatly during malting. The malts with the higher silicon contents are pale colored which have less heat stress during the malting process. The darker products, such as the chocolate, roasted barley and black malt, all have substantial roasting and much lower silicon contents than the other malts for reasons that are not yet known. The hop samples analyzed showed surprisingly high levels of silicon with as much as four times more silicon than is found in malt. However, hops are invariably used in a much smaller quantity than is grain. Highly hopped beers, however, would be expected to contain higher silicon levels.

No silicon was picked up from silica hydrogel used to stabilize beer, even after a period of 24 hours and neither is there pick up from diatomaceous earth filter aid.

The study also tested 100 commercial beers for silicon content and categorized the data according to beer style and source. The average silicon content of the beers sampled was 6.4 to 56.5 mg/L.

"Beers containing high levels of malted barley and hops are richest in silicon," concludes Dr. Bamforth. "Wheat contains less silicon than barley because it is the husk of the barley that is rich in this element. While most of the silicon remains in the husk during brewing, significant quantities of silicon nonetheless are extracted into wort and much of this survives into beer."

Sex out of control: the warning signs and treatment of addiction

guys..today i want to share with you something that i got from The Times Online. I know lots of us have this kind of problem, relax your mind and enjoy, :p

What constitutes a “sex addiction”? Is it a neurological problem similar to drug and alcohol abuse, a manifestation of a compulsive behavioural disorder or a physiological compulsion associated with adrenalin and risk? Or is it, as some sceptics suggest, neither a disease nor a disorder but a tendency born of social and cultural influences?

Relate, the relationship counselling service, describes sex addiction as any sexual activity that feels out of control. NHS advice also highlights the similarities between sex addiction and substance abuse, with the addiction caused by the powerful chemicals substances released during sex.

Relate points to the warning signs drawn up by Patrick Carnes, an American sociologist and counsellor who is also executive director of the Gentle Path programme at Pine Grove Behavioural Centre. His teaching, one can safely assume, is being absorbed at length by Tiger Woods.

According to Dr Carnes, the cycle begins with “core beliefs” a sex addict holds, established when they are growing up. How their family treats them may link to their notions of self-worth. Addicts may feel they are bad or unworthy, that people would not love them as they are, and that sex is their most important need. The bottom line is a relationship with sex, and not the various (and perhaps numerous) partners involved.

The warning signs identified by Dr Carnes include a feeling that your behaviour is out of control, being aware that there may be severe consequences, an inability to stop your behaviour in spite of knowing these consequences, persistently pursuing destructive/high risk activities, wanting to stop or control what you are doing and taking active steps to limit your activities, using sexual fantasies as a way of coping with difficult feelings or situations, and needing more and more of the sexual activity in order to experience the same level of high.

The addict may experience intense mood swings around sex, and spend increasing amounts of time planning, engaging in and recovering from sexual activities. He or she will also neglect important social, occupational or recreational activities in favour of sexual behaviour — which for many addicts (though not Woods) leads to problems with their finances and professional lives.

Dr Carnes breaks the addiction down into a process of “pain agents” (a discomforting trigger that drives the person towards thoughts of sex), emotional dissociation and the bubble of euphoric fantasised experience, followed by the “ritualised” act (be it a trip to a strip club, using sex chat lines or explicit text messaging) leading to the compulsion of sex itself, and then the despair felt when, post-coitally, the reality of the addict’s personal life kicks back in.

"let make it in the wood" said Tiger to his doctor

Woods’s counselling process at Pine Grove will involve identifying and changing the behaviour that is painful and damaging. Treatment strategies include talking therapies, such as coginitive behavioural therapy (CBT), meditation and other counselling workshops, in groups or face-to-face. Treatment is similar to other addictions, which in Britain will often involve courses of CBT.

The history of treatment is difficult to track, but it parallels greater understanding of behaviour, neuroscience and the brain. Over the past century sex addiction, as with many other compulsions, has been reassessed and what was once addressed, and punished, as a moral problem is now attended to as a medical one.

so Guys! go check your sex status now, dont simple cum all over the wall..hehe
